Adolescence is a marketing tool

So I woke up at 6:30 a.m. just to catch "Almost Famous" on cable TV.

What can I say? Good films > Sleep any day.

Maybe we just don't see ourselves the way we really are.

On shaky ground

I've never been good at explaining things or expressing my thoughts or giving directions but it's interesting how the truth, coming from many different sources, always ends up sounding different each time I hear it.

Different versions, different sides, different opinions, different feelings,

different everything.

Anyway, the truth isn't that interesting to begin with.

In the sun

I haven't been as stagnant as I make myself to be, as without summer classes I've had more time to go places. Two weeks ago I revisited Ilocos, and found a fascinating cloud formation holding up a welcome greeting:

Yes, that's the sun in the center, with what appears to be a ring surrounding it. No lens flare or anything, wasn't it awesome?

Sometimes I love the province. Sometimes--the silence and fresh air is great, but you just can't help but miss the big city and crowded roads.

Speaking of roads, must dash, I've got driving lessons! Can you say 'roadkill'?

I'm crossing my fingers I make it through without the engine dying on me.

I've been thinking a lot about places.
I've always thought that traveling gives you the chance to create another self, to erase the past, silence the rumors and start anew.

You leave, and you arrive a different person.

But maybe it never is really like that.
Maybe we can't escape who we were, after all.

I'm just really lazy

Summer has started (quite a few weeks ago) and I've done next to nothing. It's pretty amazing, that when you're just lounging around doing absolutely nothing, you want to do something, but when you're actually up and about you're doing everything and you're just damn stressed. Yeah, I'm talking about RegCom. Manual labor, that's what it is.

Maybe it's best to be doing nothing, after all. Unless of course, you're shopping.
