Asleep at the trigger

Sometimes, I get these massive headaches and everything, especially my thoughts, gets all jumbled and mixed up. I find it difficult to explain myself (I'm easily confused, you see) so I let Mr. Murakami do the talking:
"Everybody's born with some different thing at the core of their existence. And that thing, whatever it is, becomes like a heat source that runs each person from the inside. I have one too, of course. Like everybody else. But sometimes it gets out of hand. It swells or shrinks inside me, and it shakes me up. What I'd really like to do is find a way to communicate that feeling to another person. But I can't seem to do it. They just don't get it. Of course, the problem could be that I'm not explaining it very well, but I think it's because they're not listening very well. They pretend to be listening, but they're not, really. So I get worked up sometimes, and I do some crazy things."
(Haruki Murakami)

I think I'm going to call this a 'Holden' moment.

Over my head

So what, you're never understood?
Big deal, you're doomed to die
Oh, oh, nothing ever lasts
It all gets torn to shreds.
(Jon Brion)

So here I am contemplating scholastic suicide.

Time well spent

There are times when all we can do is watch the world go idly by.
And that's exactly what we do.

It could happen

For this curious girl was very fond of pretending to be two people.

But it's no use now! Why, there's hardly any left of me to make one person!

On Standby

We have so much time and so little to do.
Strike that, reverse it.

If I had to push a boulder to any place I wanted, as far and as high as I can go, to where I'll stay and live and look down on the world, I'll probably keep pushing until I reach the highest peak, pushing backwards so I can see what I'm leaving behind, then I'll stand on my boulder, and look down on the world beneath me, and see the clouds on the streets I would live in.

Of course, I'd probably get the urge to try and fly, and end up falling back to where I came from.

Such Great Heights

The view changes from where you're standing.

Well,why not?

"Blessed are the forgetful for they get the better even of their blunders."
Friedrich Nietzsche
I'm up to my neck in schoolwork but somehow, I still manage to convince myself that things are going swimmingly and I've nothing to worry about.

 Maybe it's a survival instinct.

(or maybe not.)

How can there be so much that you don't know?

Kocoum: Pocahontas can't keep running off. It's dangerous out there.

No. All is perfect, let me be lost.

The line between wants and needs are blurred, I see.
