Going through the motions

I've been making a list of the things they don't teach you at school. They don't teach you how to love somebody. They don't teach you how to be famous. They don't teach you how to be rich or how to be poor. They don't teach you how to walk away from someone you don't love any longer. They don't teach you how to know what's going on in someone else's mind. They don't teach you what to say to someone who's dying. They don't teach you anything worth knowing.” Rose Walker from The Kindly Ones, Neil Gaiman

Back to school again. So far, I've no complaints but then again, maybe it's because we haven't really done anything but roll calls yet. Secretly, I'm hoping this is all we'll ever do but that, unfortunately, is impossible. Knowing this, I'm giving it a week before school-related stress starts to kick in. In the meantime, I'll go back to my coffee and continue reading Neil Gaiman's Fragile Things.

Good night.
MJ

I like the nails, MJ. Annnd Rose Walker-- half the time she exasperates me, the other half I kind of really love how she wises up.
